This intimate coaching circle is for parents and educators who want to deepen their understanding of creative, child-led environments. Guided by Jessica Borowets, Owner of The Artful Child and lifelong advocate for art-rich learning, you’ll be supported by over two decades of hands-on experience working directly with children, families, and educators — as well as a 50-year family legacy in early childhood education and studio practice. Jessica’s work has been shaped by thousands of hours spent observing children, designing environments, mentoring educators, and supporting parents who want to do things differently, but thoughtfully.

Across six weekly 45-minute Zoom sessions, we’ll explore how space, materials, and adult presence influence children’s creativity, confidence, and self-regulation. Rather than offering activities to replicate, this circle emphasizes reflection, inquiry, and presence — helping you slow down, ask meaningful questions, and reconnect with the why behind your creative work with children. You’ll leave with new ways of seeing, holding, and designing environments where children’s ideas can truly flourish.

I’m Jessica, owner of The Artful Child — an art school that’s been in my family for over 50 years. I’ve grown up inside creative early childhood spaces and now run two studios in Toronto, working closely with educators and families who want something more meaningful than rushed projects or one-size-fits-all approaches.

For many years, I’ve facilitated groups and led professional development for educators who care deeply about children but often feel unsure, overstimulated, or alone in their work. I know how vulnerable it can feel to try to do things differently.

In this circle, you can count on me to show up with steadiness, care, and lived experience. My hope is that you feel supported rather than overwhelmed — like you’re building something that will last, not just adjusting a corner, but settling into a way of working that feels calm, connected, and true.
