March Break Camp (Recommended Ages 4-7)

March Break Creative Camp at The Artful Child® is a gentle, process-art camp designed for children who thrive in calm, inspiring environments. Held in our thoughtfully prepared Roncesvalles Village studio, this half-day camp invites children to slow down, explore deeply, and create freely through child-led art and sensory play.
Throughout the week, children work with open-ended materials such as paint, clay, collage, wood, building elements, and sensory media. Our experienced artist-educators carefully prepare each day’s invitations, supporting curiosity and self-expression while allowing children to follow their own ideas. The focus is always on process rather than finished products, building confidence, autonomy, and joy in creative exploration.
Each morning includes time to create, connect, and recharge. Midway through the day, children gather for a shared snack, stories, songs, and meaningful group conversations before returning to the studio refreshed. Children take home their artwork daily, along with a special project they develop throughout the week.

Serving children ages 3–5, our full-year Art Preschool program offers an intimate, studio-based early learning experience grounded in process-based art, sensory exploration, and meaningful play.

Our drop-in art classes offer an engaging, flexible experience for young children to explore creativity at their own pace. Caregivers stay and play alongside their little ones as they paint, squish, pour, build, and discover in a warm, welcoming, process-based art environment.
Designed for toddlers and preschoolers, our drop-ins provide open-ended materials, sensory experiences, and a calm, home-like studio where children can follow their curiosity and express themselves freely.

Our Roncesvalles After-School Program offers a calm, inspiring space where children can unwind and create after the school day. Located just off Roncesvalles Avenue, our studio provides a warm, home-like environment designed to support children ages 4–9 through art, play, and meaningful exploration.
Children participate in daily process-art experiences using high-quality materials such as clay, dough, wire, natural loose parts, watercolour, fabric, light and shadow, and open-ended tools. With a focus on creativity rather than product, children build confidence, emotional regulation, problem-solving skills, and imaginative thinking.
Our educators are trained artists and early childhood professionals who specialize in play-based, Reggio-inspired learning. They support each child with gentle guidance, encouraging independence and self-expression in a safe, beautiful environment.

Process-art summer camp for children ages 4–9 in Toronto’s west end. Runs for 6 weeks July/Aug 9:30am - 12:30pm. Mondays through Thursdays. Weeks of July 6, 13th & 20th, Aug 4th, 10th, & 17th. Registration required. Spots fill quickly.
Summer Messy Mornings at The Artful Child® offer a joyful, sensory-rich summer experience for children who love to explore, create, and get wonderfully messy.
